A list of princeps senatus would be very nice thing to put here, but where can we get it? Muriel Gottrop 15:32, 31 Aug 2003 (UTC)

Sources for Late Republic Prerogatives[edit]

For my part this isn't a challenge—I'm merely curious—but I have heard from a few people that there weren't any prerogative powers associated with the Princeps Senatus during the time of the late Republic. Can the author of that portion of the article, or anyone else for that matter, cite sources that confirm this?--LordSnow 16:04, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

Outdated and obsolete article[edit]

Much of this article is now outdated and obsolete, relying heavily on Mommsen, whose work is around 150 years old. Modern scholarship has revised many of his assumptions, but it needs someone with more hands on knowledge than me to take on the work. Oatley2112 (talk) 00:59, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
