From VfD[edit]
- Arcona - not even enough information to unambiguously identify the place to write a more informative stub. --Robert Merkel 07:49, 8 Sep 2003 (UTC)
- Hmm? A google search for 'Arcona Rugen' or 'Arkona Rugen' locates it precisely. See this, for example. Arcona, on the island of Rugen, that's now part of Poland, and was at one point part of Germany & Prussia. Seems, from a quick read, to be a historical site rather than modern town. --Morven 08:38, 8 Sep 2003 (UTC)
- Or even just What links here:Arcona, which would have been the first thing I tried. —Paul A 08:58, 8 Sep 2003 (UTC)
- We already have Cape Arkona, so why not just redirect it there? andy 08:48, 8 Sep 2003 (UTC)
- I concur. —Paul A 08:58, 8 Sep 2003 (UTC)
- FWIW, me too. --Morven 09:08, 8 Sep 2003 (UTC)
- Well, I honestly did try a couple of googlings and couldn't figure out which Arcona and Rugen was being referred to. I am happy that the article is now a useful redirect! --Robert Merkel 09:51, 8 Sep 2003 (UTC)

A question[edit]
Did Germans destroy all Slavic shrines and artifacts or did anything survive until today there?? The name reminds me of the legendary Siberian city of Arkaim, which is located on the same planetary latitude as Stonehenge.
Star[edit]
Some guy bought and named a star "Arkona". https://stars.osr.org/RXV928165#.VLFaLMm9G9Z
