Untitled[edit]

jpospisil@cpoj.cz Please, can anybody precize what is CARDIO? I find in "Training tasks for day 88" the following text:

Remember to begin with some light cardio. Circuit training is designed to work your whole body in a short amount of time. Begin with low weight and gradually increase. Do not forget your core stabilizers and upperbody. Do not overwork or max out with your legs because you are in the middle of training. If you have never worked out in a gym before make an appointment with a personal trainer so that you learn proper technique. These circuit training sessions should last between 20-30 minutes.

Cardio disambiguation[edit]

Do we need a disambiguation page? Some people mean aerobic exercise when they say cardio. Do you think it is important? --Click me! write to me 02:12, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

CardioCardio (disambiguation) – I am proposing to move this page so that Cardio can redirect to Aerobic exercise as a WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT. The current situation could be seen as a WP:SURPRISE since the term "Cardio" very frequently (and probably most frequently) refers to the exercise. • Support per WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT. Very few people searching with "cardio" are going to be looking for anything other than aerobic exercise (which is the dictionary definition of "cardio"), and we can have a hatnote back to the cardio dab page there for the very few who do. --В²C 22:01, 8 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - the primary topic of "cardio" is the medical terminology root, and as such the current disambiguation page is the best place to present all potential alternatives as well the simple translation and link to wiktionary. Most people coming to that page directly are likely only interested in learning that basic meaning, not an informal term for aerobic exercise. -- Netoholic @ 13:25, 9 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose I think. Considering cardiac. Hyperbolick (talk) 19:14, 9 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. I don't think it's clear that cardio's primary topic is exercise since cardio- really means "of the heart" and a great many uses in the medical and health context will refer to "of the heart" or a contraction of "cardiovascular". (By the way, there's also Cardio (album) which I've added). Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 13:14, 16 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
