Mullah Dadullah (Hafizahullah) was intervied by Dharb-i-Mumin in Qandahar, right before the evacuation of Qandahar —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.219.177.13 (talk • contribs) September 24 2003
Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan[edit]
The government at the time was the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. I am considering changing the name of this article to List of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan leaders. Since many nations did not acknowledge the legitimacy of the government, the name of the government is rarely mentioned, and they are referred to the Taliban...which can be considered a warring faction, and a political party....but since they had deputies and diplomats, they should be referred to as the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. subsections[edit]
These lists need subsections, to better enable navigation, editing and maintenance. -- Geo Swan 15:21, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
wikitables are easier to maintain than html tables[edit]
These tables should probably be turned into wiki style tables. -- Geo Swan 15:21, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
Why shouldn't every entry have a reference link?[edit]
So later reader can verify the correctness of entries. The entry for Shahzada said he was killed in 2004. But Guantanamo Combatant Status Review Tribunal documents make clear he was in Guantanamo. Are there two Taliban leaders with the same name? -- Geo Swan 15:21, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
not all[edit]
hi guys,
there are many other taliban member who has a name and also play a role in the parliament. plz add them and also the name of karzai and his father. they were supporting them till 2000 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.59.110.168 (talk) 20:29, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
New name[edit]
According to this Newsweek article, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar is one of the top leaders in the Taliban. If so, his name needs to be added to this list and an article created on him. Cla68 (talk) 23:09, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
Orphaned references in List of Taliban leaders[edit]
I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of List of Taliban leaders's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

We were not permitted to talk to each other, but could see one another while the food was handed to us. I eventually saw that Mullahs Fazal, Noori, Burhan, Wasseeq Sahib and Rohani were all among the other prisoners, but still we could not talk to each other.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 18:30, 18 November 2014 (UTC)
Article merger[edit]
Why are there two articles on the Taliban leadership? I suggest an article merger of all relevant information into the Quetta Shura article. StanTheMan87 (talk) 07:03, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
- List of Taliban leaders is about all the Taliban, Quetta Shura is about a subgroup. Rmhermen (talk) 14:45, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
